Yichun Orphanage Nutrition Program Children: Highlights

This little boy is a year old and was born with a cleft palate.  In November, 2013, he had surgery for it.  With nutritional support he has gained 3.5 kg, 9 cm in height, and 3.2 cm in arm circumference: a huge improvement over five months.

YIF is 2.5 years old.  She has cerebral palsy and hydrocephalus.  She loves to dance! In her first 5 months on the nutrition program, she has gained 0.4 kg weight, 6 cm in height, and her arm circumferance has not changed.  Her physical progress is slow; she needs to remain on the program.

YFG is close to three years old.  She has cerebral palsy.  She's making good progress, having gained 1.7 kg, gotten 16.5 cm taller, and gained a centimeter of arm circumference.  She can move around in a walker but cannot yet understand speech.

YQY is a one-year-old little girl struggling with congenital heart disease.  On the program since her surgery in November 2013,  she has gained 3.5 kg, grown 12 cm, and added 5 cm in arm circumference.  She lives with a foster family, can say "dad," and is growing in leaps and bounds: a nutritional success story.
